Features

Welcome to one of the best flight deals alert services! We tirelessly monitor U.S airports for domestic and international flight prices and alert you via email when we find a great flight deals departing from the city or cities you are interested in. We email you the deal details and instructions on how to book your money-saving flight.

The SmartAirport™ Algorithm intelligently selects airports near you that will improve the probabilities of finding flight deals and maximize your potential savings. Sometimes the cheapest airport to fly out of may not be the closest; however, you can save an extra $300-$800 by taking a short drive or trip to catch your flight at one of these airports that the algorithm recommends. But don't worry, we will never send you airport deals that are more than 200 miles away from your departure city and you can always customize alerts to remove airports you find inconvenient.

Good question ! We are the only service on the market that has a SmartAirport™ Algorithm to maximize your potential flight savings. We also offer the maximum amount of deal customization, letting you choose what airport(s) you wish to receive flight deals from, even if you are our free plan subscriber.

We are also the only service that offers the option to customize arrival regions (for our Power plan subscribers). Planning that perfect euro trip and only want to receive alerts for continental Europe? No problem.

Did we mention that flight deals hound is built by a team of world travelers that happen to be software engineers, that we all use our own service daily, that we are super passionate about building the best service possible, and that we are also constantly adding new features? Plus, we offer a free tier, a free 7 day trial for paid accounts, and a 30-day money back guarantee!

The number of airports you have subscribed to and your arrival region setting (for our Power plan subscribers) are all factors that will impact the number of flight deals you receive. But to give you an idea, a paid subscriber near major flight hubs such as Los Angeles, Boston, New York etc can expect on average 5-10 flight deal alerts a week. Frequencies can drop dramatically for much more rural areas.

Just as an FYI, we don't have an artificial quota to meet nor do we want to send you any fluff deals. We will only send you flight deals we consider to be very good and relevant, we believe in quality over quantity.

Unfortunately, we currently only send out flight deals that depart from the U.S. We send out both domestic and international flight deals that originate from the U.S. and our Power subscribers also have the freedom to customize their arrival regions, if they wish, to only receive flight deals to certain countries and regions.

There are mainly 2 ways airlines sell tickets to their flights. The first way is directly through their own official websites and/or official ticket offices. That means purchasing the AmericanAirlines flight directly on aa.com. It is extremely rare for you to not receive your flight tickets when purchasing from airline sites directly.

The second way is through third party flight ticket agencies and what are commonly referred to as OTAs (Online Travel Agent). OTAs are sites such as Priceline, Vayama, Expedia etc that sells the flight tickets on behalf of the airlines. Some OTAs have negotiated rates and/or purchased flights in bulk from the airlines to be able to sell flights cheaper, sometimes much cheaper, than the official airline websites. OTAs may have purchase agreements that have different terms and conditions than tickets purchased directly from airlines, such as no refund/exchanges, so double check the OTAs terms and conditions if you think they could potentially impact you. Major OTAs such as Priceline and Expedia are fairly safe to purchase from and have reliable customer services. Smaller OTAs may have varied customer service experience but that may be why they can sell flights at a much cheaper price. Don't be afraid of purchasing flights through OTAs; it is fairly rare for OTAs to not be able to issue tickets for your purchased flight and in those cases you generally will receive refund for your purchase. For a longer explanation, you can read up on OTAs more here.

Sites such as Google Flight, Jetradar, Momondo and Skyscanner etc are not OTAs but are rather flight search aggregators, that means the sites themselves do not sell you flight tickets directly but rather they aggregate the flight price results from airlines and OTAs for you so you can choose who to purchase from.

Of course! A sample walkthrough can be seen here. Deals are on our website via your Profile Dashboard page on the site after you login.

Each email alert you receive has a "How To Book" link that will direct you to the site where we have conveniently included multiple search links on a number of top flight search sites for you to review prices on. We highly recommend you search on sites such as Google Flights search calendar or Skyscanner calendar before booking, this way you can choose the cheapest flight dates that work for you.

Plans/Pricing

Yes. Billing begins the day after your free 7-day trial ends, this is your initial billing day. Following this, you will be charged monthly, or yearly (according your plan), on your initial billing day. If your initial billing day does not occur every billing cycle (e.g., you subscribed on the 31st, but the next month only has 28 days), then we will simply administer the charge on the last day of the month.
